Brush Collection Yard Trimmings Information for Single Family Residents
Recycling brush is a highly effective way to help protect the environment, and Recology Del Norte is proud to offer an optional Brush Collection service to its customers.Don't send landscape materials to the landfill; recycle them instead! On average, approximately 200 pounds of brush items are dumped annually from each Del Norte County household every year. That waste decomposes and creates methane gas, which is 23 times more potent than carbon dioxide and is directly attributed to climate change. Other than being the environmentally friendly thing to do, most residents who participate in the brush collection program see a significant decrease in their trash if a successful brush collection program is in place. Contact our office for more information on the cart sizes and rates.
So put your yard trimmings in the brush cart instead of the trash cart, and help Del Norte achieve Waste Zero!
We accept leaves, brush, grass, flowers and tree trimmings (6" diameters x 30" length) in the brush collection cart.
