Assembly Bill 341 - Mandatory Commercial Recycling


The purpose of the new law is to:
  • • Reduce garbage from landfills
  • • Reduce greenhouse gas emissions
The new California Assembly Bill (AB) 341 requires all businesses that generate four (4) or more cubic yards of garbage per week and multi-family dwellings with five (5) or more units to recycle by July 1, 2012.

1. Get an EPA ID number online: www.dtsc.ca.gov/idmanifest/id_numbers.cfm
2. Call 1-800-433-5060 before September 30th to schedule an appointment and receive an estimate of your disposal costs.
3. Bring your hazardous materials and payment at your appointed time to the Del Norte County Transfer Station at
1700 State St. in Crescent City on Friday October 3rd, 2014
